Pride and Prejudice
Simple fact of life:
Put 2 men together and their IQ drops by at least 50 points.
When 3 or more men gather, they become primates again.
What was supposed to be a usual night out at my current fave hang @ Wala Wala, where we get to chill to the fabulous singing of Shirlyn of the uneXpected, turned out to be a "free" show where we get to see a couple make out right there and then...
and believe me... they were really getting it on!
So there we were, Sir Newton, G, and Moi, (3 guys... so you can do the math and know how much our IQ dropped) were rooting the couple on for more and more...
After what seemed like an eternity (the couple really put the energizer bunny to shame).. us 3 boys finally did get sick of watching them go on...
G went to the toilet (I hope for honourable reasons, which I wouldn't care to speculate why that particular timing... hahaha)
That was when Sir Newton made an interesting comment...
he went like "everybody around would feel that the guy was THE MAN, THE ALPHA MALE, and etc. to be able to get it on with the girl, but the same people would feel that the girl would have to be a slut to allow someone to get it on with her in public."
True words indeed...
As much as we hate to admit it, for the sake of being diplomatic or fearsome repurcussions from the female public... there really isn't equality in the society yet...
Man: Bachelor
Woman: Bachelorette... (a.k.a Spinster)
Man: Player
Woman: Playerette... (a.k.a Slut)
Get the drift?
Only time will tell if the mindset of society will really change and women will enjoy true equality... but if you ask me... it wouldn't happen cos we were never meant to be equal... we each have our own strengths, that is why man and woman are always complimentary to each other...
